Chickened out

The resignation letter is still sitting under my keyboard. I may wait awhile. I talked to a coworker who told me to wait until the last minute. They will have to scramble to replace me if I do, but I suppose the thought that they might need me could make my life a little easier for the next few months. I don’t know what the point in waiting is exactly, but if it ain’t technically broken, maybe I should avoid trying to fix it.

Eduhonesty: What set of me off was another last-minute email with last-minute work and almost no explanation. I hate having to deal with these emails. I got up to do my prep for the day and found a page to complete, recapping my year and plans for the future. There went my instructional planning time. Again. Other people’s emergencies should not always create emergencies for me.
